Pivotal Fitness offers exercise classes for everyone from beginner to advanced, and you can’t beat our programs for variety and quality. From Pilates to cardio kickboxing and cross training to Martial Arts, Pivotal Fitness will get you moving. Every group fitness class is lead by a certified and experienced fitness expert. We encourage you to try new things and keep advancing toward your goals. Choose from hundreds of class options every month. Exercise classes are available from early morning until evening.

Class Descriptions

Abs - 15 min of hard core training for that stubborn midsection. See your six pack emerge!

Advanced Step Aerobics - Looking for a challenge? This class incorporates creative step combos for lots of variety to make you seriously sweat. Be ready for innovative, fun choreography that will challenge your mind as well as your body! It’s a progressive class employing advanced moves that will literally keep you on your toes. Some step or other aerobic dance experience preferred. Not for beginners.

Allegro Reformer Pilates - Maximize your time as you get a full body workout on the Allegro Reformer. Use spring resistance to create the long, lean muscle definition, working every muscle group. Challenge the deep core muscles to improve your balance, gain strength, and enhance agility.

Basic Step Aerobics - Easy to follow, low-impact exercise class. Combinations are taught slowly, and involve no advanced choreography. Includes excellent abdominal core training! Great for all levels.

Body Blast - Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned veteran, we've got what you need! Intense cardio, strength and core training for a total body makeover. Strengthen your mind, body and soul! Beginners welcome; modifications shown.

Body Sculpt - This exercise class focuses entirely on body sculpting for amazing results. You’ll gain strength, endurance and flexibility in an intense but fun environment.

Boot Camp - Join us for an hour of high-intensity athletic exercise. Boot Camp is a core training and conditioning program, where we focus on functional movement to enhance your competence in all tasks. Designed as a cross training class, we will put you through a variety of weight lifting, aerobics, body sculpting and core training activities. Be prepared for anything – no class is the same! All levels welcome!

Booty Boot Camp - 30 minute boot camp that will kick your booty into shape.

Cardio Kick - This class combines the kicks and punches of martial arts with a heart pumping cardio workout. Easy-to-follow drill-based exercises set to music. An exciting, fun and empowering cardiovascular body sculpting class which uses kickboxing moves to tone the whole body and improve cardiovascular endurance. Learn proper form and gain strength, power, flexibility and balance. Great for all levels of physical fitness.

Cardio Sculpt - Enjoy body sculpting intervals and easy to follow cardiovascular drills. Increase your strength, muscle definition and endurance. Build long lean muscles, improve core strength and burn loads of calories with lighter weights and higher reps in easy to follow step and low-impact combos. Combined with conditioning intervals and cardio drills, you’ll sweat and tone your way to a better body! Modifications provided to accommodate all fitness levels. Great for weight loss!

Core Cuts - Body sculpting together with core training makes this class a unique cross training experience to support any physical fitness regimen.

Cycle 45/60/90 - Get ready for the ride of your life! This indoor cycling class has it all. It’s full of hills, drills, sprint intervals, endurance rides and trail rides. It will always be an expedition full of energy. Participants MUST bring a towel and water bottle to every class. We encourage cycling participants to arrive 5-minutes before class to allow time for proper setup on bikes. Our bikes have SPD clips and participants are welcome to bring cycling shoes that clip into our pedals. Athletic shoes required. Suitable for all levels of physical fitness. Classes run 45, 60 and 90 minutes.

Cycle Circuit - Pack a full workout into one quick hour with 30 minutes of indoor cycling, 15 minutes of upper body sculpting and 15 minutes of core training. It’s a complete cross training circuit and you’ll definitely feel the burn!

EXO Chair Pilates - The new Pilates EXO Chair delivers a full-body workout that enhance stability, balance and body control. It is a great tool for conditioning and building upper and lower body strength. Excellent for all types of athletes.

Get Chiseled - Focus on body sculpting and defining core muscle groups for a physique that is as strong as it looks.

Group Centergy® - Redefine your Self with Group Centergy. This program fuses yoga and Pilates to help center your energy and reduce stress. Positive, uplifting music, group dynamics and supportive instructors make this program a guaranteed upper.

Group Power® - Group Power is your hour of power! It’s a 60 minute barbell program that strengthens all the major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. With simple movements such as lunges, presses and curls, Group Power is for all ages and fitness levels.

H.E.A.T. - H.E.A.T. stands for High Energy Aerobics Training. This is an hour-long boot-camp style class delivered in intervals for a total body workout: aerobics, body sculpting, core training, endurance.

Karate -Denny Shafer teaches both Isshin-ryu karate (a traditional Okinawan system,) as well as dragon Sen-iIjutsu. See Martial Arts.

Level 1 Cycle - Learn all the basics in this 45 minute indoor cycling class. Ideal for new exercisers!

Martial Arts -Denny Shafer’s program includes offers karate, jujitsu, grappling, tae-kwondo, kickboxing and weapons. He teaches both Isshin-ryu karate (a traditional Okinawan system,) as well as dragon Sen-iIjutsu. This is a combination of stand up and ground techniques. Think of it as MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) without rules. And although Shafer doesn’t program isn’t a competitive MMA school, he can teach the disciplines if you desire to compete. Shafer’s school focuses on self defense and getting you home safely at night. He is committed to your safety in the street as well as your safety in the classes. Everyone is trained according to their age, gender and present physical condition, as well as to each individual’s goals. Ages are from 6 years on up.

Pilates EXO Chair - The new Pilates EXO Chair delivers a full-body workout. Workouts on the chair enhance stability, balance and body control. It is a great tool for conditioning and building upper and lower body strength in all types of athletes.

Pilates Mat Class - Improve core control, coordination, standing alignment and balance with Pilates exercises. There are 20 different movement phrases, which are performed on a mat while seated or lying down. Emphasis is on precise alignment, breathing and efficient sequencing of movement. Pilates Mat classes are offered to all members at no cost and on a drop-in basis.

Pilates With Props - Pilates classes themed around specific props like the balance ball, resistance band or Pilates circle/ring are popping up on club and studio schedules worldwide. This class will take you beyond the basics of mat Pilates to facilitate even greater balance and core training. This class requires a supplemental fee. PiYo™ - PiYo is an athletic blend of Pilates, yoga and more. It includes modifications for the group exercise environment, yet offers exercise progressions to challenge all levels of participants

Power Yoga - Moves progress more quickly. This will make you sweat! Open to all levels.

Pump - Total strength training barbell exercise class for men and women. Learn safe technique and see results. You’ll get stronger each week! More muscle = higher metabolism! Open to all levels of physical fitness.

Sampoorna Yoga - A system of Hatha Yoga that includes pranayama, sun salutations, poses, and deep relaxation. Sampoorna Yoga is the yoga of fullness.

Step Aerobics - Easy to follow, low-impact basic step aerobics class. Combinations are taught slowly, and involve no advanced choreography. Includes a great abdominal workout! Class duration: 60 minutes.

Step & Sculpt Aerobics - This step aerobics class includes step patterns and intervals mixed with body sculpting and core training exercises and a variety of conditioning techniques to challenge your body and keep things fun! Suitable for all levels of physical fitness.

Step 2 - Progressive moderate aerobics workout for the intermediate stepper. The hour will fly by as you focus on the fun combinations! Choreography is broken down so you can learn the moves one “step” at a time! Class duration: 45-60 minutes.

Tread & Shed - A treadmill workout designed for maximum cardio conditioning. Walk, jog, sprint and use various ramp heights to achieve big results! All levels.

Triathlon Training - Benefit from the best cross training workout around for the ultimate in physical fitness and peak performance.

Turbo Kick™ - This is the gym version of the popular Turbo Jam workout as seen on TV! Turbo Kick is an addictive workout that combines shadow boxing, kickboxing, sports drills, dancing, yoga and simple dance moves in a party atmosphere. Turbo Kick™ is an interval based exercise class that allows participants of any fitness level to participate and custom tailor their work-out. You will kick, punch, and jam your way to a leaner, stronger body! Beginners welcome!

Upper Body / Upper Half - Strength and body sculpting class designed to follow indoor cycling. Full upper body workout in 30 minutes. Great complement to any cycling or kickboxing class.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga - A dynamic form of yoga that connects postures and creates a flow between traditional Hatha yoga postures. You will take yoga to a deeper level by integrating rhythmic breathing with conscious movement.

Yoga - Focus on the mind body connection with this basic yoga approach utilizing traditional Hatha techniques. Lengthen and relax while strengthening. Yoga is the ultimate body sculpting and core training exercise class. Please bring your own mats. We offer complimentary mats for new students, as well as new mats for sale. All levels welcome.

Yoga Blend - This class offers a fun and energetic combination of Ashtanga Vinyasa and Kundalini yoga.

Yolates - Come enjoy a new workout trend that combines two popular methods of exercise - yoga and Pilates, or “yolates.” This course will emphasize core training, lengthening, toning and body sculpting. Yolates also improves core strength, posture and overall body awareness

Zumba! - Zumba® Fitness fuses hypnotic musical rhythms and tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout system designed to be FUN and EASY TO DO! It is a Latin and International dance-inspired workout that burns a ton of calories per class. It includes music and dances such as the Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, belly dancing, Reggaetone and Hip Hop. Come out and try it! But one class won't be enough… it's completely addicting!

Pivotal Fitness instructors hold many of the following certifications that cover exercise physiology, anatomy, kinesiology, injury prevention, fitness assessment procedures, nutrition fundamentals, weight management, leadership and motivational coaching.

AFAA

Aerobics and Fitness Association of America is the world's largest fitness and TeleFitness educator. Since 1983, AFAA has issued over 250,000 certifications to fitness professionals from more than 73 countries around the world. AFAA delivers comprehensive cognitive and practical education for fitness professionals, grounded in industry research, using both traditional and innovative modalities. AFAA upholds Basic Exercise Standards and Guidelines for safe fitness practice.

ACE

American Council on Exercise is a nonprofit organization committed to enriching quality of life through safe and effective exercise and physical .fitness. As America's Authority on Fitness, ACE protects all segments of society against ineffective fitness products, programs and trends through its ongoing public education, outreach and research. ACE further protects the public by setting certification and continuing education standards for fitness professionals.

NETA

National Exercise Trainers Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the fitness industry with the highest quality education. Since its founding in 1977, NETA has certified over 120,000 fitness professionals and the organization offers certification and continuing education workshops for health and fitness professionals in Group Exercise, Personal Training, Pilates and Yoga.

NASM

National Academy of Sports Medicine is the global leader in personal training certification. A NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification uses the Optimum Performance Training OPT method, making it the gold-standard for health and fitness professionals.

Class Training Certifications

Yoga - Instructors learn to create balance in the body through strength and flexibility by holding certifications in Yoga Fit, Holy Cow, Jivamukti/Omega Institute and Yoga Union. Yoga Union focuses on a "union" occurring between mind, body and spirit. Jivamukti provides a "liberation while living." Modern yoga disciplines add a special emphasis on how to apply yogic philosophy to daily life.

Body Bar Certified -Instructors learn to cover proper form and personal training techniques to use Body Bars in group exercise classes.

Indoor Cycling - In LeMond, Johnny G, and Rebok training classes, teachers learn about proper positioning and setup for bikes as well as how to properly conduct indoor cycling classes in a fun and safe manner.

Group Power - BTS Instructors are tested on their form and knowledge of each muscle group, how to exercise and stretch each muscle group and how to ensure participants see the results they are seeking.

Pilates Mat - Pilates Mat instructors learn mat exercises, proper form and breathing techniques to obtain strength, proper posture and greater flexibility in AFAA, ACE and NETA courses.

PiYo - Instructors are tested on their combined knowledge of Pilates exercises and yoga poses along with proper breathing techniques.

SPRI - This course prepares trainers by covering proper form to utilize while training with Resist-A-Balls.

Tae Bo - Instructors are tested for proper Tae Bo techniques and coaching skills to be able to execute Billy Blanks fabulous workouts!

Turbo Kick and PiYo - Blue Powder Production tests Turbo Kick Instructors on their ability kickboxing technique and cue skills. PiYo is another program developed by Blue Powder Production, and instructors are trained in conducing classes offering an athletic blend of Pilates and yoga. It includes modifications for the group exercise environment, yet offers exercise progressions to challenge all levels of participants.
